Godard de Ruiter has been a neurosurgeon at HMC in The Hague since 2012. In addition to medicine, where he obtained his doctor’s degree cum laude in 2003, he also graduated in biomedical sciences. After both studies, he worked for two years in the neurosurgery department of the Mayo Clinic Rochester in the United States and continued his training as a neurosurgeon at the Medical Center Haaglanden.
Besides his clinical work, he received his his PhD degree on the thesis “Experimental treatment of traumatic nerve injuries”. In addition to this, he is currently still involved in various scientific research.
